My favourite holiday was Valencia in Spain I went in April 2013 when I was 6. I flew on an Easy-jet plane with my mummy, dad, brother, granny and grandad. When we got there we went to see our flat to check it out then we went to have tea in an Italian restaurant near our flat. The next day we went to the beach we splashed in the sea and found a clam then we to eat Paella. The next day we went to the Zoo and on the way home we found a restaurant called TOMAS! We played on a giant pirate in the park it’s so big you can see it on google earth. We also went to the Oceanographic Aquarium and saw a cool dolphin show and they did some amazing tricks. Every day we went to the market and had fresh strawberry or raspberry juice and we loved it.

    My favourite holiday:

I went on my summer holiday to Portugal, Vila Sol in the Algarve at the end of July 2013. I went with my mummy, daddy, sister, granny, aunty, uncle and my cousins Ben and Louie. We flew with Jet2 to Faro airport and hired cars.

We all stayed in a nice villa that had it’s own swimming pool, table tennis and pool table.

The weather was very hot every day and I loved playing in the pool with my family.

I enjoyed it so much because I was with all my family and we had lots of fun in the sun!

My favourite holiday was when I went to Turkey when I was 3 years old. I went with mummy, daddy, Hannah, Ben, Cooky, Janet, Sam and baby Ben.
We stayed in a massive hotel with lots of swimming pools and some of them had water slides in them. Me and baby Ben went in each other’s buggies and fell asleep.
I went in the sea which was cold and accidentally drank some of the seawater, and every night I went to the mini disco with Hannah and Sam and then we watched a show.
It was really really hot so we spent all our time in the swimming. Pool.

I have found out some facts about the moon
    – The Earth has one natural satellite which is the Moon.
    – The tides of the seas on Earth are controlled by the Moon’s gravity pull.
    – On 20th July 1969, Neil Armstrong became the first person to walk on the surface of the Moon.
    – He said ” One small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind.”
    – One of the other astronauts, Buzz Aldrin, said that the surface of the Moon was a powder like dust containing rocks and pebbles.

In 1969 Neil Armstrong was the first man to land on the moon. As he stepped onto the moon he said, “that’s one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.” This is now a very famous quote.
The moon surface is like powdered charcoal. When the space shuttle landed it made a big dent in the moon.

    December 22, 2013 @ 5:50 pm          Reply

I have been looking at interesting facts about the moon. I have found out that there is no wind on the moon, so an astronauts footprint will stay on the moons surface for millions of years. Apollo 11 was the mission that took Buzz Aldrin and Neil Armstrong to land on the moon, in total 12 astronauts have walked on the moon. The only light on the Moon comes from the sun. The moon is the only other planet, apart from earth, that man has walked on.
I found it very interesting reading and learning about the Moon.

Katie Morag slipped on a slippery stone and all the mail got wet, apart from Granny Island’s parcel. In another part of the story, Katie found four pounds and spent it on chocolate in the chocolate shop on the Isle of Coll. My favourite part was when Katie found the four coins.
